WHITNEY
A 3 year old English Bull Terrier cross Staffy who is deaf.
Whitney is very friendly and affectionate to all & loves everyone big or small. She
is great with other dogs but does tend to greet them at 100mph which can be alarming! She
lives happily with the other dogs at the Barn. Due to her enthusiastic greetings,
it is safe to assume that Whitney would be too much for a cat - unless it is a tiger!
Whitney is housetrained.
Typically for a bully,Whitney likes to sleep under her duvet and would prefer to
stay indoors unless it's really warm outside! She travels well in my van, unless
crated - this causes her enormous stress & she prefers to wear a doggy seatbelt harness.
We have twice tried to rehome Whitney, but she becomes extremely distressed: barking
continuously, pants so hard she almost hyperventilates & cries pitifully, refusing
to eat or sleep. She lasted in her first home for a day, her second 3 days, causing
great distress to her prospective families too.
Immediately on being returned she settles, is calm & content. Obviously, we can't
keep putting her through this level of stress and we think Whitney has decided she
wants to stay at the Barn. Maybe one day someone will come along who can build a
relationship with Whitney over a few weeks, or months, & eventually move her into
their home.
But, in the meantime, if you would like to help Whitney by sponsoring her, please
